Assets to create to art this level. Broken down into the open world and point of interest assets.
Open world assets: Since this level takes place on Alluvion, the natural environment has lots of rocks and smaller shrubs, destroyed vehicles and some broken walls and debris from past buildings. The debris will blend well with the sandy environment but have shape and form of futuristic, halo type, architecture (rounded corners, metallic, wires, pipes, etc). Other buildings in the open world are complete structures, but the same type of architecture as the destroyed ones. This helps fill the narrative and show that some buildings are destroyed.
Example models are used here for placement and how they fit in the landscape, images 1 and 2.
Point of interest assets:
This area will contrast heavily with the open world in terms of size, color and shape of the architecture.
The main processing plant for the drill site is the main focal point of the area, the green building shown below. This building will have curved surfaces and pipes on the side. This is the only building that will have this type of architecture to stand out from the rest. It is also the most in-tact when it comes to shape and how worn down it is, signaling that lots of people have been in the main building and it’s been maintained.
The rest of the buildings inside the drill site will have more hard surface type architecture (metallic, sharp corners, different colors and lots of inner details like wires) as well as being more worn down.
The large blue wall that surrounds the POI acts as a boundary to separate it from the open world. This will be a blue/metallic modular wall with some parts broken for the entry points. Image 3.
The image and text below describe the cover and what models need to be created and used in those locations. Image 4
